Who We Are
Founded by Charles Vrana in 1909 with a strong but simple vision: to provide local businesses, governments and institutions with quality construction that exceeds client expectations, meets a need, and lasts for decades to come.
We’ve grown to be one of the largest and most successful general construction firms in the Midwest, with clients in a variety of industries, an extensive portfolio of projects that range from smaller retail establishments to large-scale industrial endeavors, and a positive reputation across the region for our professional approach and high-quality craftsmanship.

Our Leadership
Troy Perry
CEO
Troy Perry has been a part of the Vrana organization for more than 30 years. He received his bachelor’s degrees from the University of Kansas and his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska. A strong believer in continuing education, he is also a graduate of the President’s Program in Leadership at Harvard Business School, where he continues to be active today.
In addition to the various community boards, efforts, and associations Troy has supported over time, he serves as a Director for Enterprise Bank.
Troy believes that the Vrana organization’s greatest asset is its employees. Through ongoing training and education, team development, and a focus on continuous improvement, Vrana encourages each employee’s individual growth and empowers them to meet our clients’ highest expectations.
Charles Vrana
President
Charles “Chip” Vrana is the grandson of founder Charles Vrana and learned the construction business from a young age until he began his career after graduating from Principia College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He continued learning management skills by working all facets of construction side by side with his father, Ernest Vrana, and brother in law, Troy Perry.
Chip serves as President of the company and brings 35 years of construction and project development experience, ensuring the long-term success of Vrana Construction. Charles father, Ernie Vrana, was a founding member in 1927 of Associated General Contractors (AGC) Nebraska Building Chapter, and Chip has continued the tradition by serving as President of the chapter.
