Vrana Construction has broken ground on a new distribution center for Omaha Steaks. The new facility is located near Interstate 80 and Nebraska Highway 370 in Commerce Business Park. The new 109,000 sf distribution facility will handle the bulk of Omaha Steaks order distribution. The facility will feature a 20,000 sf freezer, 25 truck dock doors, a package conveyor and sorting system along with office space to operate the new distribution center.

“We are honored to have been chosen once again by Omaha Steaks to work on this project.” said Charles Vrana, President of Vrana Construction. Vrana Construction has constructed a number of Omaha Steaks projects over the last 8 years ranging from office buildings to food processing facilities to telemarketing centers. Most recently, Vrana completed the F Street Distribution Center that operates in peak periods.

RDG Planning & Design is the architect for the project. Site and structural engineering is being done by Thompson, Dreessen & Dorner, and the mechanical and electrical engineering is being done by Alvine & Associates.
